Gift a Subscription Program Terms
Effective November 11th, 2025
1. Introduction
Monarch’s gift a subscription program (“Program”) allows customers to purchase and share annual subscriptions (“Gift Subscriptions”) with others. Participation in the Program is governed by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”), which Monarch may update, modify, or terminate at any time without prior notice.
These Terms are subject to all terms and conditions of The Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, which are incorporated herein by this reference.
By purchasing or redeeming a Gift Subscription, you (“Purchaser” or “Recipient”) agree to comply with these Terms. Monarch retains full discretion to determine eligibility, redemption validity and compliance under this Program.
2. Eligibility and Restrictions
2.1 Purchasers
To purchase a Gift Subscription, you must:
- Reside in the United States or Canada.
- Complete the purchase through Monarch’s web or mobile checkout using Stripe.
- Use an accepted payment method: credit/debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Link (Stripe’s payment app).
- Be responsible for all applicable taxes at checkout (which may vary by state).
2.2 Recipients
To redeem a Gift Subscription, the following conditions apply:
- You may use a valid Gift Subscription code, which can be redeemed once, provided you are not the original Purchaser.
- A valid payment method must be linked at redemption to ensure uninterrupted service after the covered period ends.
2.3 General Restrictions
- Each Gift Subscription code may be redeemed only once and cannot be reused.
- The original Purchaser may not redeem their own code.
- Monarch reserves the right to reject or revoke redemptions in cases of suspected fraud, misuse, or technical manipulation.
3. Redemption Process
3.1 Method
Recipients redeem their Gift Subscription by entering their code at Monarch’s signup paywall, along with a payment method. Once the subscription is processed, the code is marked as redeemed and cannot be reused.
3.2 Expiration and Redemption Window
Gift Subscription codes have no expiration date and no redemption window. They may be redeemed at any time while the Program remains active.
3.3 Transferability
Gift codes are transferable, provided each code is only used once. Once redeemed, a code cannot be transferred, refunded, or reissued. Anyone with the code may redeem it, except the Purchaser. Monarch is not responsible for lost, stolen, or misused codes.
4. Scope of Coverage
A Gift Subscription covers the cost of one (1) year of Monarch’s subscription service at the standard annual rate at the time of purchase. After the covered period ends, the linked payment method will be charged automatically for renewal unless canceled before renewal.
5. Taxes
Applicable taxes are added to the total at checkout based on the Purchaser’s billing address. The Purchaser is responsible for taxes at the time of purchase (which may vary by state), and the Recipient is responsible for any taxes due upon renewal.
6. Fraud Prevention & Misuse
Monarch may cancel, void, or refuse redemption of a Gift Subscription if it determines, in its sole discretion, that the code was obtained fraudulently or used in violation of these Terms. Monarch’s decisions regarding eligibility and redemption validity are final.
7. Program Modifications & Termination
Monarch reserves the right to:
- Modify the Program’s terms, eligibility criteria, or checkout process at any time.
- Suspend or terminate the Program without prior notice.
- Impose limits on Gift Subscription purchases or redemptions to prevent abuse.
Continued participation in or redemption of Gift Subscriptions after any updates to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
